If you're new to streaming live - THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! Great resource and wealth of information contained in the book!This book is methodical in its approach, which I happen to love. Paul describes the fundamentals and the essentials to streaming video, making it easy for the novice (like myself) to understand. He gives examples of the book of WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO and he lists specific tools you might be interested in and outlines the "how to" to getting started. He also points out the trends, the absolute bare necessities. What I love most is that throughout the book you get a sense that you could definitely implement the strategies he has highlighted and get started right way. He makes is simple by breaking it down step-by-step. What he also did was provide an overview of some the of most popular players in the space for hosting your videos, like the obvious YouTube and gives you a good idea about what you might want to do.He also talks about all the relatively new domains available, like ".live" and others. As a matter of fact, due to his book I was able to get my own ".live" domain. He gives you some great ideas and tells about the best platforms available today for reaching your audience (like Facebook) for example and discusses the best places to stream.He also enlightened me to something I think is very cool - THE COOL FACTOR - which is streaming live on multiple platforms - live Facebook and YouTube - SIMULTANEOUSLY. ----->MIND BLOWN<----- as I had no idea this was possible!He pointed out something very significant, and that is everyone in this space should consider one of the new domains available so that you can have your audience go to once specific domain and reach you on all your platforms. For instance, you register a "yourname.SOCIAL" (a new domain) and then your audience visits you at your .SOCIAL domain and can then find links to all your media platforms at this domain (like your twitter, instagram, facebook, vimeo, YouTube channel, etc)...great idea! HUGE!Thanks Paul!
The author says some important things about streaming live. Also, when you register the book you get free updates when he releases the updates. I haven't gotten any updates as I write this, but this field is always changing as technology advances.
