I'm a big fan of coloring books but this is the first color by number one I have tried. I love it!!!! For me it adds another level of meditative practice to coloring. There are varying levels of intricacy - from fairly simple to very detailed. This is a great choice for someone who is interested in adult coloring books but doesn't feel confident choosing their own color schemes. There is a color key on the back of the book so that you know what the numbers are intended to be, plus on the page opposite each image there numbers and colors are also listed as an easy reference point and there are 2 pages for "color testing" that have small boxes so you can check your marker color before you commit to coloring your image. It's nice to have that in the book instead of having to search for scrap paper every time. They also included 10 bonus images from other coloring books in their series - plus mini images of the covers that can also be colored. It's a great way to get a feel for the other books by this company. I highly recommend this coloring book!I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest, unbiased rview and I am happy to say I would definitely buy it again for myself or as a gift for someone else.

This book contains 20 large print color by number pictures of animals, butterflies, and flowers, which is what I wanted.At the back is a bonus section of 10 pictures from other books the company offers; these are not numbered. While this might be nice for some people, it is not what I wanted. For me coloring by number is restful while having to select colors for complex pictures is not.

It was with great delight that I received my copy of Large Print Color by Number Butterflies, Birds & Flowers in the mail today. The book is large, clearly numbered, and even has a ‘color key’ on the back. The illustrations are beautiful and often complex and the book tastefully teases the adult artist at the end with sample pictures from other color by number books in the series. This is not a child’s simple coloring book. It is for the doodling, coloring, creative adult who enjoys the quiet joy of bringing pictures to life with bursting color. They would make lovely gifts, or something just for yourself to pleasantly wile away the time. Highly recommended!

I purchased this item because I like the "color by number" aspect - it's more relaxing to me to not worry abut what colors to use.Almost half the pages in the book are "extra free pages" to promote their other publications and not color by number. On the pages that are color by number several of the blocks are missing a number/color.

I didn't know what to make of coloring when I bought this, I hadn't done it in 30 years, but I found it a delightful way to pass the time. It feels nice to start out a blank page and see it through to completion, even if you aren't very good at it, which I'm not. I included some pics, but not the ones I colored, they aren't exactly impressive or neat.

The pictures to color are great! The comments and suggestions at the beginning of the book are helpful. The pages should be perforated though. The pictures are not too intricate so you can complete a picture in no time. The markers leak through the page so use something under the page you are working on to protect the following pages.I love the idea of having the corresponding colors and numbers on the page opposite, however these should be relevant to the picture being colored.I will buy more in this series!

Somewhat disappointed. Legend of color names associated with numbers are not always accurate, duplication, some numbers missing. It seems that this book may not have been proofread. Pages are thin, so watercolor pens do not work. Sections are very small in places, so crayons do not fit either. I bought for my grandchild, but it became frustrating to her, and she is a good artist.

I love just about any book by this company. I own several of them. Sure some are missing numbers, but that's where you get to use your artistic talent!! If you're looking for hours of relaxing, coloring fun, these books are it. Highly recommend.

I carry this book with me during nursery visits, just in case I'm struck by that "Wow, I'd love to have that!" inspiration. Which leads me to say how much I appreciate the construction and form factor of this book. The rounded page edges, the water-resistance coating on the cover and the matte finish on the inside pages all make this an easy to use reference.Lone Pine has produced other books with this same look and feel, for example Perennials for Ohio and Annuals for Ohio.The authors have done a great job including high quality photos, an introduction to each group of trees and shrubs and recommended varieties (backed by Fred Hower's extensive experience as a horticultural consultant, certified arborist and landscape designer.)Recommended read and reference.

As an Ohioan, anything by Fred Hower is worth reading. I enjoyed the pictures and the ideas for my own gardening, but wish that the book was more technical. It is very frustrating to me that the book doesn't rely more heavily on Latin names, doesn't cover many cultivars, and is a little on the thin side. It is certainly more of a "greatest hits" for Ohio home gardeners than a complete reference for an Ohio gardening enthusiast or professional.All that being said, I wouldn't part with my copy, and have given copies as a gift. I'd love to see Mr. Hower write more, particularly an expanded version of this volume, or more specific areas in addition to it, especially perennial gardening.

As a native buckeye with no plant knowledge and a black thumb, this book is great! It is an alphabetical reference to all the native trees & shrubs. It tells you their good points, bad points, tips for success, etc in a very practical format. It also has TONS of photos of how the plant looks in different seasons. We moved out of the city & onto an acre, and this book has been used a lot!

What I most enjoyed about it was hearing Dave's insight into what it's like to be hugely successful at real estate and then how that didn't really satisfy him (or even last). And then have him give a step-by-step outline of what a sustainable practice looks like. The short chapters by super-successful realty VIPs were OK, but a number of them sounded exactly like the kind of talk you'd give at a high school graduation. Made me feel like I was sitting in the hot sun in an uncomfortable folding chair. Otherwise, love this book.

I read this several years ago on Kindle. I recently decided to read it again, so I bought it in paperback. It is honestly the best real estate book I've ever read, and I read them all. It is really a life-lesson book. I highly recommend it for anyone who seeks to embrace real estate as a passion, not just a money making tool.

In a world filled with buy this, do that books. this one came along when I needed it most. Real is most certainly real and it is a career changer for me. I've soaked up the stories that have been so honestly shared. The genuineness of each contributors stories makes you want to read more. I found myself reading each one as if they were having a conversation with me. I highlighted, took notes and am reading it for the second time through. What I appreciate most is that no one was hiding the difficult nature of this business, but rather being open and honest about how hard it can be. They also share how to make it a successful career. What drives them to succeed and how they evolved to where they are today I've been in this business for 5 years and I've read so many "self-help" books that were going to put me on the next great path. This book isn't about the next great gimmick, it's about taking charge of your career and heading down a road to lead you to your own success with hard work, dedication and desire to go forward with a purpose. I ordered books for our new agents but I've told everyone in my office that this is the one book they should read before they do anything else. I can't thank those who told their stories in this book enough for sharing. You can stop and make changes for a better career and it will benefit you personally and professionally. 2014 is going to be a banner year and this book is part of my plan.

The real estate profession is, if nothing else, a personally transformative undertaking. This book like no other in my experience captures that process. Recommended for anyone connected to real estate, new agents, long time agents, or anyone who wants to know how they tick. See if you can pick out the common themes in the varied perspectives. The text is surprisingly practical, but I wont spoil the instructions that are included. A quick read, though I would say required. My only con, some of the individual perspectives need to be taken with a grain of salt, and none of them should be taken literally. The overall themes are what make the book so special.

This was a really good read and not your typical real estate top producing material. I enjoyed it and I will probably read it again several more times

When I bought this book, I thought it would be a brief preview of getting on the air and a look at the network through the '80s. How wrong I was as this whole book talks specifically about just getting the network on the air! The author's initial idea was creating a regional network for the New England area but soon got lucky in getting transponder space on a satellite and being able to beam a signal all over the country. That led to the creation of what he originally called ESP. From money woes, hiring talent, dealings with the NCAA and finishing construction shortly before airtime, this is a great read.

"Sports Junkies" is MUST READ for sports end ESPN enthusiasts, for sure. But it is also a MUST READ for anyone interested in celebrating the true grit of American entrepreneurship. Bill Rasmussen and his son, Scott, created "The Worldwide Leader In Sports" from nothing, with no money! It is fascinating to read about how they overcame countless obstacles along the way with some creative thinking and a whole lot of guts!I could not put it down.

I like this book Gun Fight by Adam Winkler. I wrote an extensive review of this book, but it disappeared. Mr. Winkler is well versed and knowledgable on this issue and offers many insights and ideas along the lines of the pro and cons of the public concerns about concealed carry and availability of guns to the general public.

This book is an important read for all Americans. It is not an easy read. The author jumps back and forth between supporting anecdotes and more factual reporting. Both sides of the gun control argument are well represented and seem unbiased

This was a hard read for me because it is so factual but I did finish and I did learn about what has evolved through the years in gun control. So I would say if you want to learn something it is a good book and you will become informed about the issues at hand and how we as a nation have played a role and how the NRA has changed..

Mr. Winkler provides both a historical perspective and a balanced discussion on one of our country’s most divisive topics. His central discussion on the 2nd Ammendment an firearms was delivered with the story of the SCOTUS decision DC vs Heller as the main thread. It was an easy read peppered with historical references and storytelling.

I am a life member of the NRA and a gun rights supporter. But I have found that this book took a reasoned approach and I learned a lot. I still believe pretty much as I have, but I understand why I have changed over the years. The author says it early on. Gun rights supporters now reject ANY new gun control laws, because so many laws have been proposed and/or passed that do little or nothing to curb crime or violence and have the intent of just making it harder for gun owners, and "some" gun control advocates really want to be rid of guns altogether.I comes down to to point that most gun rights people don't trust the government to not continually chip away at gun ownership, even when there is no basis that legal gun ownership is the problem.I'm 63 years old. What this book has made me want to do is sit down with people (not lawmakers) that have opposing views and discuss our differences.

After recent events in this country, I wanted to learn more about the Second Amendment, gun rights, and gun control. I'm not a gun owner myself, but I don't identify as anti-guns. I firmly believe the Second Amendment grants individuals the right keep and bear arms, but with limitations (much like those discussed later in the book). Since this is a review, I'm going to state that I found this book informative about the history of gun rights and gun control in the U.S. as it pertains to the ever evolving social, political, ideological, and racial landscape. In my opinion, Winkler treats all parties discussed with fairness and brutal honesty when needed. I enjoy reading history and informative literature, so I recommend this book for likeminded individuals, and leave other readers to come to their own conclusions.

The "story" of America's relationship with gun rights and gun control, Supreme Court proceeding and history, and cultural history all contribute twists and turns to this remarkably balanced report. My husband and I are on different sides of the gun divide, and reading this book together gave us a way of understanding and discussing the real issues that underlie the propoganda put forth by the extremists on both sides.

First off, I have to confess I am no fan of romance novels, never have been. The last romantic stories I read were “A Woman of Substance” and “The Thorn Birds”, some 30 years ago. I don’t even like novels at all, preferring instead non-fiction, true stories about history, spy stories, and especially anything about the U-boats. So it’s conceivable that my review of this book may not be very objective. I mean, are all romantic novels so schmaltzy?I chose this book because of the title; my family owned a cottage by the sea in Wells Beach (on the opposite coast), where I spent all my summers, so I figured I could relate to the story. HA! Not even close. Also, quite frankly, it had been on the Seattle Times best seller list for MONTHS. I figured, how bad could it be, right? I just needed a little fluff to read at night when I can’t sleep, something to get my mind off whatever it is that’s keeping me awake.And, frankly, this book did that, which is the only reason I gave it two stars. The author has proffered up an interesting story line and established her characters quite well. I often felt like giving up and throwing the book in the GoodWill bin, along with all my clothes donations, but I had to find out what happened to the characters — which is the only reason I stuck with it. I had to read past a lot of pages, skipping lots of redundant fluff that the author said over and over again, ad nauseam. It’s an insult to the integrity of the reader, as if the author can’t remember that she already said it a couple dozen times before. And seriously, does it really take five pages for the boyfriend to decide whether or not to give the bouquet of daisies to his girlfriend? I got the impression that the author had a page quota.If you are interested in this book, you can find it at GoodWill, where I will be donating it. No more of this genre of book for me!

I like books that are a little edgier, but I will take a Debbie Macomber novel like this any day! It was a fast read, the characters, stories and problems to resolve. I was all in from the first.Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book. A Cottage by the Sea by Debbie Macomber is a great read.

This is an old-fashioned romance and a very fast read. There's no explicit sex. It won't be giving away any spoilers to say that every single obstacle is overcome and there's a relatively happy ending for all the characters. It's written in basic language - I'd call it fourth grade level - and is probably much cleaner than any book read by an average teenage girl. A lot of things are extreme, from character descriptions to plot devices, but it's pretty easy to put that aside and simply enjoy the way everything works out for the best.

The book had a lot of excitement that I think any tween would enjoy.It had a bunch of unbelievable parts but that's what a kid would enjoy.It had good flow through out the book, plenty of action and just a few grammar issues.

I just finish reading it so I can't hardly even give a review as it's all swirling in my head still . I guess what I can say is, thanks for writing it . I could barely put it down .

Bought this book thinking I was getting the book based on the movie. Found out wrong. I agree with another reader. How could this book have the same name? Could hardly put it down but cant figure out why it was called The Shack when there was not shack. Very weird but a good tween read.

For a first novel, I must say I'm impressed. You've got talent. This story kept me wanting more, and I enjoyed every second.

I really enjoyed this book. It held my attention and was interesting from the first page. I will be looking for more novels by this author.

I chose this book because a friend had the book and it sounded very interesting, plus I wanted to read it on my tablet. It kept my attention from beginning to end, I would recommend this book very highly.

Well told ghost story. Excellent character development makes the story very realistic. Fast pacing keeps the story moving. Highly recommended.

Short, reads well. Easy to follow. I am glad I read it. Never saw the movie
