came in handy for school and for a great price, will be renting from them again, better than buying at my bookstore at my school!!!!!! It was a very clean coffee for something that was used and had a lot of material in it that I found helpful also had crossword puzzles that I could do to help me memorize my terminology even more will be ordering again!!!!

I was very disappointed to see writing in every page. I knew when I bought it used there would be some wear and tear, but I feel like the book is worthless to me now because I won’t be able to do any of the worksheets without already knowing the answer. If I would’ve known someone had already answered all of the questions, I would have saved my money and not purchased this workbook.

I bought this book for a Veterinary Assistant class which I took because I was working part-time in a veterinarian's office. The book is great.. very thorough and easy to understand. However, it covered a lot of things that the veterinarian I worked for would only do herself. That is, she wouldn't let anybody else assist her in spite of the vast knowledge acquired from this book.

The book was in very good condition, thank you amazon passing my class with an 91% ! :)

I bought this book (used) for a class I am putting together online to teach Veterinary Vocabulary. It looks well written and laid out. I just got into it so I will report back later. I am already a vet tech with 42 years of experience so I didn't buy it to learn the vernacular but a brush up never hurts either.

Fantastic Art!!!!

I knew when I ordered that this was a used copy, so there are some minor little damages to the book jacket. However, as a fan of Boris & Julie as well as Marvel, this is an amazing book!

I love it

Beautiful art, bad text, but who cares. You buy the book because of the art, screw the text. This book has the best comic book art ever hands down!

Titans mainly covers the art Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell produced for the Marvel Masterworks trasing card series in the mid-80's, with a few covers and misc. art thrown in for good measure. While it's nice to see the art at a larger size, the limited variety of poses gets old after a while. Boris and Julie use each other as models, so most of the faces look alike; The ones that don't look like them are based on bodybuilders, so the female characters have a very hard look to them, facially speaking. The colors are gorgeous, though. The real problem with the book is the text, by Nigel Suckling, who manages to live up to the first syllable of his last name. The book is riddled with spelling errors (Ogum, instead of Ogun), characters have the wrong names attatched to their paintings (Mariko and Yukio's names are transposed, as well as Yukio being called by the wrong name). The text passages show that Suckling didn't bother to get more than a passing familiarity with the comic characters; He describes Spider-Man as being bumbling...? His passages about Boris & Julie's views on time-travel & Geography are hilariously bad. Titans is a nice book for fans of Boris & Julie; I would have liked more information on their techniques, and their opinions of the pieces, though. Anything to save me from Suckling's turgid prose....

I didn't buy this book for the big names of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. I bought this book because of the art of the comic book characters. I have been extremely pleased with my purchase.This book is a collection of some of the most breathtaking art images of comic book characters. Most of the pictures are of Vallejo and Bell's work on Marvel and DC's masterpiece trading card collections. There are also some miscellaneous art pieces added, but these are also of the comic character nature. Since the pictures are much larger, you can appreciate the detail much better than anything you'd see on a little trading card.The book is bound well, with thick high gloss pages. Most of the pictures are accompanied with a brief description by Vallejo or Bell. The book is also split into chapters to try and give a logical order to the collection.Titans is a must for any comic book enthusiast as the art brings much more life to the characters. I would imagine that this would be a good book for any Vallejo or Bell fan as well. However, I have not seen much of their work outside of comic paintings. So, I cannot speak much on the comparative aspects here.

We only made it half way through this book. It's mostly about divorce, not basketball. The main character is dealing with the grief of not having her dad around, and as her coach. It wasn't worth all the questions from my 6 year old, so I 'lost' the book and started another one instead. A better one in this k-3 category is Kylie Jean Hoops queen, or Million dollar Shot (boy main character).

I like that the girls stay confident with there team members. I dislike that the dad did not show up, but overall I think it was a awesome story.

My daughter loves Jake Maddox books

I liked the book because its about basketball. I like the part when Allie talks to her little sister and tells her that she likes basketball and she misses there dad.

This is book one, of a three book series (or volumes).Although at first, I didn't know which book to get, so just get all three. There's plenty of good info in all three making it worth while and they're not overly priced. (Material is pretty much spread across all three volumes.)One reviewer stated it's "Old Info", but have the HVAC manufacturers done anything newer these days not requiring you to know anything within these books? And, if a HVAC manufacturer does have some newer product with bells & whistles (ie. power venter), they usually package an instruction manual including codes and advisories.The books go into a little more detail then I really needed for installing a boiler in my house. So overall, the books covered most of the details. The only item the books omitted, construction of a utilidor or similar access way (ie. 4 inch ABS with PEX pipes).Your other option, buying some $100-500 textbook(s).Remember, safety first. These books adequately detail draft & safety. When in doubt, call a licensed trusted contractor.I'll likely obtain the Kindle versions since I tend to travel, but am unsure of the quality of the diagrams contained within the Kindle versions. When books have diagrams, it was usually best to obtain the PDF. (Also, if you don't steal, beware of EBooks containing undisclosed DRM which will prevent you from reading the media on other devices!)

Truly the "bible"of the genre, virtually ANYONE can learn and understand the ins and outs of the heatingworld at any level they choose. For a "quick fix" to a total replacement, this is the"be all and end all' book to buy!!!
